Daily Breakfast Menu
The produce on our breakfast menu and room hospitality trays is homemade or locally sourced. All our bread and cakes are freshly home baked. We grow some of the fruit, vegetables and herbs that we serve. We use Cumbrian cured back baconand Cumberland sausages from Plumgarth’s award winning butchers in Kendal, Our free range eggs are from Bannerigg Farm in Windermere. Our tea and coffee is from Kendal-based Pennington’s. All of our bread, barmcakes and muffins are home baked. All guests can enjoy the produce from the buffet selection and select one freshly cooked breakfast plate from our breakfast menu.
Breakfast Buffet Selection:
- Chilled fresh fruit juices
- Selection of cereals and granola
- Freshly made yoghurt, seasonal fruit and granola pot
- Homemade breakfast muffins
- A range of teas and fruit teas
- Medium roast or decaffeinated coffee
- A selection of home baked breads served with Cumbrian butter, jams, marmalade or honey.
Full Cumberland Breakfast
Cured back bacon and Cumberland sausages, egg (poached, fried or scrambled), potato cake, sautéed mushrooms, roasted tomato and baked beans
Full Vegetarian Breakfast
Homemade falafel, halloumi, egg (poached, fried or scrambled), potato cake, sautéed mushrooms, roasted tomato and baked beans
Cumbrian Bacon, Sausage or Egg Butty
Served on home baked bread
Savoury Crumpets
Toasted and topped with Cheddar cheese, Worcester Sauce and your choice of eggs
Two Egg Omelette
Local farm produced eggs with a choice of plain or any combination of Cheddar cheese, tomato, bacon or mushrooms
Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Egg
Scottish smoked salmon and eggs served on a buttered English muffin
Poached, Scrambled or Fried Eggs on Toast
Served on white or wholemeal home-baked bread
Waffles
Go savoury served with bacon and topped with fried egg; or sweet topped with fresh fruit and maple syrup

Two rashers of bacon and two eggs (fried, poached or scrambled)

Creamy garlic mushroom toast
Garlicky creamy mushrooms, made with plant-based cream, piled high on homemade vegan toast and sprinkled with spring onions – a fabulous way to start the day!
Smoky BBQ beans on toast
A whole other level to just beans on toast! Home made BBQ beans, with a hint of chilli, smothering our homemade vegan bread – gorgeous!
